Clarion’s Olson Named PSAC Southwest Player of the Week in Volleyball

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After helping lead her team to an impressive 3-1 weekend, Clarion University junior Olivia Olson earned PSAC Southwest Division Volleyball Athlete of the Week.

Olson was dominant in the middle over the weekend at the Wheeling Jesuit/West Liberty Invitational, leading the Golden Eagles offensively and defensively over the course of a 3-1 showing. She led the team in kills (3.50 kills/set) and hitting percentage (.364) while also averaging a team-best 1.12 blocks per set. Olson set a career-high with 19 kills against Fairmont State while also hitting .415 and contributing seven blocks. She added nine kills and eight blocks against West Liberty in the last match of the weekend and had 16 kills against Wheeling Jesuit on Friday.

The Golden Eagles open PSAC play this weekend with road matches at Kutztown and East Stroudsburg.
