Two Vehicle Crash on Route 66, Jenks Township

JENKS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A two-vehicle crash occurred on Sunday morning on State Route 66, in Jenks Township, Forest County.

According to Marienville-based State Police, around 9:49 a.m. on October 8, Joseph A. Karpieniak, 22, of West Mifflin, was driving a 2012 Mazda 3 south on Route 66 when he struck a 2003 GMC Envoy driven by 42-year-old Jeffrey Young, of Summerville. Young was attempting to make a left turn onto Oak Lane when he was hit by the Mazda 3.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and no was injured.

The Mazda was towed from the scene by Snyder’s Auto Body.
