CLARION, Pa. — Registration is underway for YMCA 5th and 6th Grade Basketball for boys and girls.
YMCA basketball is a fundamental, participation based program for boys and girls in 5th and 6th grade. YMCA basketball teaches and reviews fundamentals like dribbling, shooting, passing, and footwork while also teaching sportsmanship and teamwork in a supportive environment where everybody plays and tries new positions.
“I want to welcome new and returning youth to the program,” said Bill Richter, YMCA Youth Sports Coordinator. “This program teaches fundamentals and gives kids some great experience playing all positions.”
Practices and games will be held at local school districts and coordinated with volunteer coaches. Practices could begin as early as October 23.
Games will be played on Saturdays beginning November 4 and ending December 16. Registration is required by Wednesday, October 18. All players receive t-shirts. The cost is $25.00 for Members and $45.00 for non-members.

The Clarion County YMCA hours are Weekdays 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturdays 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; and Sundays 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
