John Michael Rapp

Rapp obitJohn Michael Rapp, 45, of Seneca, died unexpectedly Monday, October 16, 2017.

Born June 30, 1972, in Oil City, PA. , he was the son of Linda Richardson Rapp Jones and the late Kenneth Rapp.

John was a 1990 graduate of Cranberry High School. He then attended Clarion University where he received an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.

He attended the Second Presbyterian Church in Oil City. John also belonged to the N.R.A.

John was as much as an outdoorsman as you could get. He loved being in the woods or on the water. He thoroughly enjoyed going archery hunting, fishing, and trapping. John was an excellent marksman and actually made all of his bows and arrows from scratch. Wherever John went, he was always with his dog and best friend Peach and fellow dog Tabby who will always be his best friend.

He is survived by his mother Linda and stepfather Dennis Jones of Seneca; sisters Michelle Carr and husband William of Seneca, and Nicole Rapp of Seneca; nieces Megan Rapp, Taylor Ritner & her husband Tyler Morgan Geer, and Chloe Rapp; great-niece Harper Ritner; stepbrother Jason Jones and stepsister Jill Jones; step-niece and nephews Joe and Sophia Jones. Also, surviving is an Aunt Diana Schell and her husband Jeff.

He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Rapp, and grandparents Ed and Vivian Richardson.

John will be sadly missed by all his friends and family, especially his mother Linda.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Second Presbyterian Church in Oil City on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. with Josh Botts, presiding.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to help defray funeral costs or to donate to the Humane Society.

The Reinsel Funeral Home and Crematory in Oil City is in charge of arrangements.
