Child Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 36

BARNETT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A two-vehicle accident occurred late Saturday morning on State Route 36, in Barnett Township, Jefferson County.

According to Marienville-based State Police, 42-year-old Marc Lallier, of Pittsburgh, and 62-year-old Donald E. English, of Butler, were involved in the collision.

Police say this crash occurred around 11:44 a.m. on October 21 as Lallier’s 2010 Subaru Forester was traveling north on Route 36 and English’s 2011 Ford Ranger was traveling south. The Subaru turned left in front of the Ford causing the accident.

Lallier, a passenger in the Subaru — 50-year-old Leah L. Lallier, of Pittsburgh — and English were not injured. All three individuals were using seat belts.

A 5-year-old male passenger in Lallier’s vehicle was transported to Brookville Hospital for suspected minor injuries. He was in a child safety seat.

The Ford sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by McPherson’s Auto Body.

The Subaru had functional damage.

Lallier was charged with a traffic violation.

Jefferson County EMS and Sligo Volunteer Fire Department/Fire Police assisted at the scene.
