EMLENTON, Pa. (EYT) — A two-vehicle accident occurred around noon on Monday in Emlenton Borough, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, 60-year-old David E. Woods and 40-year-old Kelly L. Morrison, both of Emlenton, were involved in the collision.

Police say around 12:28 p.m. on October 23, Woods was traveling south on Kerr Avenue in Emlenton Borough in a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt. As he was approaching a right curve in the road, he applied his brakes on the wet roadway. The car slid across the centerline of the road and traveled into the northbound lane.

Morrison was traveling north on Kerr Avenue in a 2006 Ford F150 pickup. As she was approaching a left curve in the roadway, she observed the Cobalt crossing the centerline. She swerved her Ford pickup to avoid a collision but was struck on the front left side by the Cobalt.

Woods was not injured.

Emlenton Ambulance transported Morrison to Grove City Hospital for medical treatment, according to police.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

The Cobalt sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene by Hovis Towing.

Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene with traffic control.
