Meth Ring Leader McIntyre to Face Trial on Escape Charges

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — A Rimersburg man, who is currently serving a lengthy sentence for various drug crimes, is scheduled for a jury trial next week in Clarion County Court.

According to court documents, 53-year-old Terry McIntyre is set to appear in court on Tuesday, October 31, at 9:00 a.m., for a trial on third-degree felony escape and related charges.

McIntyre, the acknowledged ringleader of the McIntyre methamphetamine ring, was sentenced to 19 to 38 years in state prison earlier this year.

McIntyre removed his ankle monitoring device and failed to appear for the third day of his trial in March on those drug charges, resulting in additional charges of flight to avoid trial, default in required appearance, and criminal mischief filed against him.
