Playoff Special: Two Kerle Tire Football Games of the Week: Coudy v. C-L & Brookville v. Clarion

SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — It’s a two-for-one special in the Kerle Tire KSAC Football Game of the Week this week, as we bring you two District 9 playoff games Friday night with Coudersport traveling to Clarion-Limestone in Class 1A quarterfinal action and Clarion hosting Brookville in Class 2A semifinal play.

Airtime for Kerle Tire Pregame Show for both games is 6:30 p.m. with kickoff set for both contests at 7:00 p.m.

Bob “The Governor” Dunkle and Mike Kalinowski will have all the action from Clarion-Limestone High School, while Chris Rossetti, Dustin Kifer and a potential special guest will have the call from Clarion University’s Memorial Stadium.

Fans can listen to the game live on ExploreClarion.com as well as with the ExploreRadio/ExploreClarion app (fans should click on the ExploreRadio feed on the app for the C-L/Coudersport game and the ExploreClarion feed on the app for the Clarion/Brookville game). Fans who don’t already have the app can download it for both Apple and Android.

C-L (6-4) is the No. 3 seed in the 1A playoffs with Coudersport (5-4) is the No. 6 seed.

The Lions are led by the school’s all-time leading passer Brenden Makray and the single-season receiving leader Kyle Kerle as well as Riley Hummell and Austin Newcomb.

Coudersport is paced by do-everything quarterback Jared Green as well as running back Stephen Kelly.

The winner of the C-L/Coudersport game meets second-seeded Ridgway, who has a bye, in the semifinals next week.

The Clarion/Brookville game is a rematch of a regular-season game won by Clarion 58-22 Sept. 8 in Brookville.

In this game, Clarion (9-0), as the No. 2 seed, is the home team against No. 3-seeded Brookville.

The Bobcats welcomed back Colton Rapp to the field last week for the first time since Sept. 29, and Rapp adds to a stable of skill players that includes senior quarterback Spencer Miller as well as Logan Minich, Sam Minich, Keeven Weaver and Thomas Hearst.

Brookville has had a great season thanks to a new, high-tempo offense that is led by record-setting freshman quarterback Jack Krug and junior receiver Bryan Dworek. Brandon McGraner helps lead the running game for the Raiders, while John Frank is a standout on defense.
