CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — The Clarion County Office of Emergency Services (OES) is seeking the public’s input on the county’s Hazard Mitigation Plan.

OES is working on updating its plan to identify actions to protect life, safety, and property by reducing the potential for future damages and economic losses that result from naturally occurring and human-caused hazards. Their plan is to reduce or eliminate the long-term risk to residential, commercial, and public buildings within the county.

Copies of the revised draft are available for public review at the Commissioner’s Office located in the Administration Building located at 330 Main Street in Clarion; the county website; and all municipal buildings within Clarion County.

Residents of Clarion County can provide comments at a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, at the Limestone Fire Hall on State Route 66.

Comments or concerns relative to the plan can be submitted to [email protected] or mailed to the Office of Emergency Services, 421 Madison Road, Clarion, PA 16214, Att: David Dunn.

Written comments and concerns received by December 29, 2017, will be incorporated into the revised the Plan to be submitted to PEMA and FEMA.
