Police Respond to Two-Vehicle Crash on Greenville Pike

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred on Friday afternoon on Greenville Pike, in Clarion Township.

According to police, 20-year-old Jacob E. Frank, of Trafford, Pa., and 62-year-old Samuel L. Adams, of New Bethlehem, Pa., were involved in the collision that happened around 3:48 p.m. on November 10.

Police say Adams was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo north on Greenville Pike. Adams was slowing his car to a stop behind a line of stopped vehicles in the northbound lane.

Frank was approaching the rear of the Monte Carlo in a 2012 Mitsubishi Galant, and he failed to notice that the Monte Carlo had begun to slow down. The Mitsubishi struck the rear of the Monte Carlo.

Both vehicles came to a final rest just north of the initial point of impact along the shoulder of the northbound lane of Greenville Pike.

Adams and his passenger, 60-year-old Susan L. Adams, of New Bethlehem, were not injured. Both individuals were using seat belts.

Frank was not injured. It is unknown whether he was using a seat belt.

Frank was charged with a traffic violation.
