CLARION, Pa. — On Friday, November 10, the Immaculate Conception students and faculty hosted its annual Veteran’s Day Program at the school.

At 9:00 a.m., the sixth-grade students greeted the veterans and spouses and served them breakfast prepared by Dana and Jean Troese, Janine Troese, and Kerry Kifer.

The program started at 10:00 a.m. with the American Legion Color Guard and the presentation of the color and an invocation from Father LaMonte Sayers. The I.C. Chime choir played “America the Beautiful,” then Principal Lori Cratty welcomed all in attendance.

The faculty recited a beautiful poem about the flag followed by the Pledge of Allegiance by Red Skelton, which was presented by the fifth and sixth graders. Dave Shirmer introduced the keynote speaker, LTC Chester Krokoski Jr., US Army. LTC Krokoski gave a beautiful speech that kept all ages engaged.

The students then gave each veteran in attendance a thank you present for their service.
