Clarion PUPS Director Lenore Smathers saw that the Anna Shelter in Erie had an intake of 91 dogs, and she decided to put together a donation drive to help out.

“The Anna Shelter is a wonderful organization, and we have worked well (together) over the years,” Smathers said. “They’ve helped us before when we had more animals than we could handle, and they’ve taken in many strays from Clarion County before.”

“We checked with them to see what they needed, and then we got a great response with donations of cleaning supplies, newspapers, food, and bedding,” Smathers said. “Then, we headed up there last week to deliver everything.”

“We are thankful for their friendship and support!” Smathers said.
