CLARION COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Three new Dollar General stores in Clarion County are in various stages of construction in Fryburg, Strattanville, and Limestone Township.
The Fryburg store, pictured above, is located across from First United National Bank along Route 208 at its intersection with Route 157.
The Limestone Township location is being constructed along Route 66 across from Palmer’s Store on a lot once occupied by the Midway Drive-In.
The third new store will be located along Route 322 at the site of the long-gone Clarion Motel near Strattanville.
The decision to add three more Dollar General Stores in Clarion County originated from the store’s corporate plan.
“Dollar General’s philosophy is we’re trying to serve rural communities, and we’re typically trying to target customers within a three to five-mile radius or a 10-minute drive,” said Mary Kathryn Colbert, Dollar General Corporation Communications Coordinator, in an earlier news article.
Two other store locations opened in recent years in Leeper and Rimersburg. Clarion also has one next to Comet Market.
