Janice Gayle Lutz

Janice Gayle Lutz of Clarion passed away on November 21, 2017 at Clarion Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was 80 years of age.

She was born on November 7, 1937 in Brookville, daughter of the late Arthur D. and E. Wilda (Shingledecker) Slaugenhoup. She was married to Edward J. Lutz who also preceded her in death in 2007.

Janice retired from Clarion University of Pennsylvania after more than 20 years of service with White Hat Janitorial, giving her time to baby sit and care for her two grand-daughters whom she adored. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, her soaps, and the Hallmark Channel.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Lutz, and daughter-in-law Linda, of Clarion; her two grand-daughters, Nicole and Kaylie Lutz, also of Clarion; and her brother Douglas Slaugenhoup, and wife Peggy, of Strattanville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and an infant sister.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street, Clarion, where visitation will be held from 10 — 11 a.m. on Saturday. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Terry Jacobs of the River Church in Clarion officiating. Interment will be in Cedarview Memorial Park.
