Ronald “Ronnie” Wayne Mays, 75, of Sligo, died November 20, 2017. Born in Butler on December 12, 1941, he was the son of William and Helen (Wiant) Mays.

Ronnie was a U.S. Marine, a construction worker, and a utility worker. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, who enjoyed spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his sister, a niece, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service was held on November 24, 2017, at the Squirrel Cemetery, in Porter Township, with Pastor Randy Hopper officiating.

Interment followed the services at the cemetery.
