Richard K. “Dick” Patterson, Sr., 79, a resident of 10 Hone Avenue, Oil City, died peacefully at 11:37 AM Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at his home; following a courageous four year battle with cancer.
He was born October 29, 1938 in Patton, Cambria County.
He proudly served his country as a United States Marine. He was a loving and devoted father.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rose M. Schneider Patterson; five children: Toni Patterson, Jodi Levy, Shelly French, Rich Patterson, Jr. and Angela Mattern, in addition to a step-son, John Mattern, Jr. and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers: Irv, Gordon “Bunk” and Dave.
In keeping with his wishes, Dick will be cremated. Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of his family.
