Drug Sweep Defendants Waive Preliminary Hearings

Legal-scales-books-gavel-Image-1024x681[1]SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Two of three defendants who were recently charged in a Clarion County drug sweep waived their preliminary hearings in district court on Tuesday.

They were part of a 16-person drug sweep who were charged in November after a lengthy investigation by the Clarion County Narcotics Enforcement Taskforce and the Pa. State Police Vice Unit.

Jason Geibel, 29, of Fenelton, waived his hearing.

His charges include Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Delivery, Felony; Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor; and Criminal Use of Communication, Felony 3.

He remains in the Clarion County Jail on $10,000.00 cash bail. Both the prosecution and the defense agreed to a reduction in bail from $25,000.00.

Russell James Reedy, 54, of Knox, waived his hearing. His charges include Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Delivery, Felony; Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor; Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor; and Criminal Use of Communication, Felony 3.

He is free after posting $25,000.00 cash bail. (no photo available.)

Anthony Knight, 29, of Knox, had his hearing rescheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12.

His charge is Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Delivery, Felony. He remains in the Clarion County Jail on $25,000.00 cash bail.

Knight is also facing charges related to an October 29 incident in which he allegedly drove while under the influence of drugs. That hearing is scheduled for January 9.
