Thumbnail-51Robin K. Keener, 60, of Franklin passed away on December 6, 2017 at UPMC Northwest at 11:33 am.

Born on July 6, 1957, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Catherine M. Connell Cauvel.

She was a class of 1974 Franklin Area High School graduate.

On May 18, 1984, Robin married Clarence “Ike” Keener, Jr.

Robin was a bakery manager for Riverside Bi-Lo in Franklin, Titusville and Meadville locations.

She served on the Board of Venango County Humane Society. She also owned Sugar Sisters Baking and was known to sell her sweet treats and baked goods at the Franklin Curb Market.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Ike Keener of Franklin; her son, Jeffery M. Cauvel of Franklin; and her sister, Sharyn L. Rinker and husband, Daniel, of Franklin. She is survived further by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Robin was preceded in death by her three sisters, Judith Alice Cauvel, Rosalie McDermott, and Aletha Ann Cauvel and her brother, Michael Don Cauvel.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. John’s Episcopal Church at 10:00 am with The Reverend Mother Elizabeth Yale, pastor of the church, officiating.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Venango County Humane Society, PO Box 1045, Oil City, PA 16301.
