Case Details:

A criminal complaint filed on April 24 by Clarion County Chief Detective William Peck, IV, and Clarion-based State Police Trooper Craddock states that police made contact with a confidential informant who indicated that a known woman and Adam Sibble went to Pittsburgh and were headed back to Clarion with two bricks of heroin.

Detective Peck and Trooper Craddock then traveled to South Bethlehem and began surveillance of Route 66/28. A short time later, a blue Chevy Cobalt traveling north passed their position, and the officers observed that the known woman was a passenger in the vehicle, according to the complaint.

The vehicle was later stopped on Route 66 by a member of Clarion-based State Police due to having a headlight out. Contact was made with Sibble, the driver of the vehicle, who confirmed that the known woman was in possession of a controlled substance, according to the criminal complaint.

The criminal complaint states that when the known woman was asked if there was anything in the vehicle, she removed a small bag from her purse and handed it to one of the officers through the passenger window. The bag contained several bundles of suspected heroin (76 stamp bags), numerous empty stamp bags, syringes, a spoon, cotton, a section of rope, a glass pipe, and other paraphernalia.

Sibble was found to be in possession of six empty stamp bags. Additionally, a syringe was found in a compartment located on the passenger side of the vehicle, the complaint indicates.

Sibble and the known woman were taken into custody and transported to the Clarion State Police barracks where Sibble failed a field sobriety test. He was transported to the Clarion Hospital for a legal blood draw. Results from the blood test confirmed that Sibble was under the influence of heroin, the complaint continues.

Charges against the known woman were dropped earlier this year.
