UPDATE: Manhunt Underway After Suspect Steals Car, Shotgun

SIGEL, Pa. (EYT) — A manhunt is underway after an unidentified suspect stole a vehicle from a Jefferson County residence and then traveled to a Clarion County camp and stole a shotgun before fleeing the scene.

Marienville-based State Police said a black 2017 Ford Fusion sedan was stolen from a residence at 6195 Route 36 in Sigel, Pa., sometime between Midnight and 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The vehicle was last seen in the area of a camp burglary around 11:06 a.m. at 41 Cove Lane in Highland Township, Clarion County, according to Clarion-based State Police Tpr. Knight.

Tpr. Knight said the suspect stole a 20-gauge shotgun from the camp and fled in the stolen vehicle.

The vehicle is registered in Pennsylvania and bears plate number PD5791K.

It’s unclear where the suspect — who has not been identified — is headed.

“We are requesting that (anyone who) spots this vehicle to contact local police immediately,” said a representative of Marienville-based State Police in a release issued Wednesday afternoon.
