Faye Best

Faye Best, 80, of New Bethlehem, PA, formerly of Rimersburg, PA, passed Friday, December 29, 2017, at Clarion Hospital.

She was born April 8, 1937 in Sigel, PA, the daughter of Claude Kenneth and Mildred (Cos) Forsythe.

Faye was a resident of the Rimersburg area for many years before moving to New Bethlehem. She spent her life caring for her family and was a member of Six Points Church of God of Prophecy. Faye loved listening to gospel music and playing her accordion. She also cherished the time spent with her family.

She will be deeply missed by her sons, Gary Plyler and wife, Connie Neiswonger, of New Bethlehem, and Kenneth G. Plyler and wife, Brenda Plyler, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Kristy Plyler and fiancé, Shawn Page, Tyler Plyler and fiancée, Susan Burgdorfer, Mary Crofutt, husband Jeremy Crofutt, Chrissy DuBrock, and Tiffany South and husband, Brian South; great-grandchildren, Gracie and Kacey Page, Eva Plyler, Remy, Colt, Autica, Layla, and Thayln Crofutt, and Emmah South; brothers, Bruce Forsythe and wife, Bobby, of Sligo, Lonnie Forsythe and wife, Hope, of Eau Claire; sisters, Karen Schreckengost, of Erie, and Judy Myers, of Tionesta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Glenn Plyler; second husband, Nelson James Best; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Brenden South; brothers, Robert, Roland, Leonard and Larry Forsythe; sisters, Sharon Forsythe and Dorothy Ferrari; and infant brother, Kenny.

Family and friends will be received from 12 PM until the time of funeral services at 2 PM on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main St., Rimersburg, with Carl Best officiating.

Private burial will be in Cedarview Memorial Park, Strattanville, PA.
