Koyack scored the game-winning touchdown in the Jacksonville Jaguars 10-3 victory over the Buffalo Bills in an AFC wild-card showdown Sunday at EverBank Field.
The TD came on a one-yard pass from Blake Bortles with 48 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Jacksonville’s win is their first in the NFL playoffs since a 2007 wild-card victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Koyack, a 2011 graduate of Oil City High School, was highly-touted as a five-star recruit after racking up a PIAA District 10 record 152 receptions and 2,591 yards for his career. He was drafted out of Notre Dame by the Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL draft.
The tight end has served primarily as a blocker in his time with the team, totaling 19 receptions for 161 yards and 1 TD in 14 games during the 2016 season. This year, he accumulated 38 yards on five receptions in 16 regular season games.
Koyack and the Jaguars move on to the AFC divisional round where they will take on the Steelers on Sunday, January 14, at 1:05 p.m.
The game will be a rematch of the week five matchup between the two teams when Jacksonville shocked Pittsburgh 30-9 at Heinz Field.
CBS will televise the game.
