Henry D. “Tex” Bowser, 60, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, January 5, 2018, at Clarion Hospital.

He was born December 4, 1957, in Kittanning, PA, the son of Clarence H. and Eunice L. (Reichard) Bowser.

Tex worked as a coal miner at Carpentertown Coal and Coke and attended the New Athens Church of God of Prophecy. He was a true outdoorsman and could often be found camping and fishing. Tex enjoyed fishing along Buffalo Creek during trout season and having family campfires. He was known for always having a clean car and for being a jokester. Tex cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, and liked going on family picnics with his fiancée, Darla. He will be best remembered for his sense of humor and always having a fun time.

He will be remembered with love by his mother, Eunice L. Bowser, of Rimersburg; sons, Scott Bowser and Brent Bowser and wife, Janie, all of Sligo; daughter, Starr Kern and husband, William, of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Billy and James Kern, and Ashton, Drake and Trenton Bowser; brothers, Kenneth Bowser and wife, Dolly, of Rimersburg, Barry Bowser and wife, Carol, of Clarion, and Shon Bowser and husband, Donald Steele, of Rimersburg; sister, Cindy Perseghetti and husband, Emerson, of Freeport; fiancée, Darla Brown, of Rimersburg and Darla’s children, Toby Edward Morrison and wife, Tonia, of Butler; Brandi Marie Ziegler, of Callensburg, and Charlie-Mae Brown, of Butler; and Darla’s grandchildren, Nathaniel Ziegler, Devin Morrison, Breanna Carmen and Zoey Vickers.

Tex was preceded in death by his father and infant sister, Tracy Bowser.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 758 Main St., Rimersburg, PA, with the Rev. Ron Roudebush officiating.

Interment will be in Concord Cemetery, Parker, PA.
