HIGHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Three Shippenville men suffered serious injuries after crashing into a tree during an early-morning traffic accident Saturday in Highland Township.

According to Clarion-based State Police, 33-year-old Jed Beichner was driving a Chevy 2500 pickup truck south on Miola Road at 2:25 a.m. when it left the road and hit a tree head-on.

Beichner, and two passengers — 41-year-old Kirk E. Heath and 48-year-old William E. May were not wearing seatbelts and suffered serious injuries, according to police.

All three were transported from the scene.
