Congressional Candidate Makes Campaign Stop in Clarion

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — A Centre County man who is running for Pennsylvania’s 5th Congressional District seat made a stop in Clarion on Wednesday night.

Marc Friedenberg, of Pine Grove Mills, is running for the seat currently held by Glenn “GT” Thompson.

Friedenberg stop was at the Clarion American Legion Post where he heard from voters.

“Thanks to everybody who came out last night to my listening tour stop at the American Legion in Clarion!” Friedenberg said.

“It was great to hear from voters about their concerns and ideas for infrastructure (especially roads and rails), economic development and Main Street revitalization, education (both K-12 and the ballooning debts that students are taking on for college), and maintaining clean air and water. I’m inspired by the passion I heard last night; this year is our chance to start making real change in PA05.”

Friedenberg is seeking the Democratic nomination to represent Pennsylvania’s Fifth Congressional District.

As part of the campaign, he is visiting each of the 16 counties in the district and offering an unscripted opportunity for residents to share their questions, thoughts, concerns, and vision for what they would like to see from their representative in Congress.

“For too long, the people of our district have been forgotten. I know that the only way we can fix things is if we listen to and respect each other’s viewpoints. I’m eager to hear from the people of the Fifth District, not only as potential constituents but as neighbors and fellow countrymen,” he continued.
