State Police Calls: Accident in Elk Twp., Money Stolen, Retail Theft

Police car lightsCLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

One Vehicle Accident in Elk Township

According to police, an unidentified individual was driving a 2005 Nissan Frontier east on State Route 322 at 10:51 a.m. on Monday, January 1, 2018, when the driver lost control. The vehicle left the road on the south side of and traveled approximately 75 feet, striking some brush and a ditch. The vehicle came to final rest in the ditch. It sustained moderate damage to the entire right side.

The driver was charged with a traffic violation.

Money Stolen in Public Restroom

Police say they received a report of $280.00 stolen from a wallet in the Walmart bathroom. The incident occurred on Saturday, January 6, between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Retail Theft at Walmart

According to police, on Thursday, December 21, at 9:24 a.m., Lonnie Leroy Jackson, 61, allegedly stole $256.00 worth of merchandise and went to the customer service counter to return said items.

He was arrested for Retail Theft, Theft By Deception, and Receiving Stolen Property.
