CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A local woman already in hot water for her alleged involvement in a retail theft scheme is now facing an additional theft charge.

A criminal complaint filed at District Judge Patrick Lowrey’s office in Seneca indicates Tpr. Cirell was dispatched to Cranberry Walmart on October 24, 2017, for a report of a retail theft.

According to the criminal complaint, Walmart Loss Prevention personnel gave Tpr. Cirell a receipt indicating that $496.97 worth of stolen merchandise was returned by Jolene Nicole Solomon, 34, of Leeper.

Tpr. Cirell interviewed Solomon at the Franklin State Police barracks on October 24 around 10:00 a.m.

During the interview, Solomon indicated that Jayme Allen Deitz, 47, of Erie and formerly of Rimersburg, asked her to return the merchandise to Walmart in exchange for a gift card.

Solomon told Tpr. Cirell that she obtained the gift card but did not return it to Deitz.

According to the criminal complaint, Solomon stated that she did not know the merchandise was stolen; however, she did confess to withholding the gift card from Deitz.

Solomon is facing one first-degree misdemeanor count of theft by unlawful taking.

She faces a preliminary hearing on February 7 at 8:30 a.m. in Venango County Central Court.

Solomon and Deitz are also facing charges in a retail theft scheme that occurred late last year at Cranberry Walmart.
