CLINTONVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Interstate 80 East near Clintonville has reopened after a tractor-trailer crashed on Wednesday evening.

According to Clintonville Fire Chief Gerry Rea, the accident happened around 6:25 p.m. near the 33 1/2 mile marker as a tractor-trailer was traveling westbound on I-80 and traveled across the median, crossed over both eastbound lanes, and struck an embankment. The truck then jackknifed blocking one lane of travel.
PSP-Franklin and Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.
The roadway was closed as emergency personnel removed the tractor-trailer from the roadway and the debris was cleared.
I-80 reopened around 9:10 p.m.
The operator of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
No other vehicle was involved.
Another crash happened around 7:00 p.m. on I-80 westbound near the 27 1/2 mile marker.
A car traveled off the roadway and flipped over.
PSP-Mercer, Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department, and Superior Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
Pine Township Volunteer Fire Company was also called, but they were canceled.
The driver was not injured.
