LIMESTONE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — The newly-opened Cricket Song Café will feature monthly entertainment starting this Saturday, January 20, with live folk music performed by AnamCara.

The dinner menu will be available from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Live entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. and continues through 8:30 p.m.

Reservations for this event are suggested and appreciated. Please call 814-297-2158.

Cricket Song Café is a B.Y.O.B establishment. Guests are invited to bring their own beer and wine to enjoy with the food and entertainment.

A staple of the café is the culinary delights by Dave Woolslayer, former owner of The Cricket Inn in Shippenville.

The eclectic atmosphere includes many re-purposed décor items that include antique lamps, old church pews, fireplace hearths, and other items. One of the other interesting things about the café is that virtually everything is for sale. Tables, chairs, lamps, paintings, art — if it has a tag, it’s for sale.

Winds of Trade — which teaches individuals skills and trades they can use in their work — has built many of the tables in the café. The organization serves a variety of people in the community, including individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, senior citizens, veterans, and youth.
