Rimersburg Boil Water Advisory Canceled

RIMERSBURG, Pa. (EYT) – The Boil Water Advisory (BWA) issued for the Rimersburg area has been canceled.

The Boil Water Advisory that went into effect on Saturday, January 13, for the Rimersburg area was finally lifted on Friday morning.

According to Dana Solida, Rimersburg Borough Secretary, “At 11:51 a.m. this morning, Friday, January 19, 2018, Rimersburg received notification from lab results and DEP that the boil water advisory has been lifted for our water customers.”

“You no longer have to boil water and may proceed as normal. Samples collected in the distribution on Wednesday, January 17, and Thursday, January 18, were analyzed by a certified laboratory and were negative for total coliform and fecal coliform or E. coli. Due to these sample results, we are able to lift the Boil Water Advisory.”

East Brady also lifted the Boil Water Advisory that was in effect as of Thursday afternoon.
