State Police Calls: Retail Theft, Handgun Stolen, Local Crashes

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Retail Theft in Monroe Township

According to police, on January 15, a known white male and a known white female, of Weedville, Pa., concealed several merchandise items from Walmart and Fast Way gas station. Upon apprehension by PSP Clarion officers, a search of the vehicle was conducted and narcotics and paraphernalia were recovered along with the stolen merchandise.

The two individuals were placed in Clarion County jail court procedures.

The names of the actors were not released.

Handgun Stolen

An unknown suspect stole a handgun from a residence on Doc Walker Road in Perry Township Clarion County.

The incident occurred sometime between January 17 and January 20.

The victim is a 50-year-old Parker woman.

Semi Crashes in Beaver Township

Around 6:17 a.m. on January 16, Singh Grdeep, 22, of Fresno, CA, was traveling eastbound on I-80 near mile marker 52 in a 2016 Peterbilt when the crash occurred.

Grdeep was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the accident.

He was cited with a traffic violation.

No further details were released.

Driver Injured in Beaver Township Rollover Crash

According to police, around 3:10 a.m. on January 15, Julie C. Ouma, 25, of Grand Rapids, MI, was driving a 2013 Chrylser 300 westbound on I-80 in Beaver Township when she was reportedly cutoff by a commercial vehicle. Her vehicle exited the roadway off the south shoulder and struck an embankment in the median. The vehicle then rolled over and came to rest upright facing west in the median.

Ouma and her passenger — Wilson T. Supuk, 38, of Caledonia, MI — were both wearing seatbelts.

Ouma was transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

Supuk was not injured in the crash.

Clarion Volunteer Fire Department and Shippenville EMS assisted at the scene.

No Injuries in Two Vehicle Monroe Township Crash

According to police, around 8:00 p.m. on January 16, Brittany M. Hosler, 27, of West Springfield, PA, and a passenger, Nicolas S. Belknap, 38, of Erie, were traveling westbound in a 2014 Jeep Compass on I80 in Monroe Township when the crash occurred.

A 2017 Freightliner operated by 50-year-old Roberto M. Silvio of Orlando, Florida, was also involved in the accident.

No injuries were reported.

No further details were released.

Two Vehicle Accident in Paint Township

According to police, around 10:21 p.m. on January 15, Sonia M. Miller, 21, of Marienville, was driving a 2012 Hyundai Elantra on the I-80 eastbound on-ramp in Paint Township when the crash occurred. George A. Jackson, 78, of Tionesta, was also involved in the crash, operating a 2016 Chevrolet Trax.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and no injuries were reported.

Miller was cited with a traffic violation.

No further details were released.
