Manhunt Ends With Capture of Second Theft Suspect

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A second man was apprehended on Monday morning following a manhunt in Paint Township, Clarion County.

Clarion-based State Police responded to a report of a theft in progress late Sunday evening along Route 66 in the area of Selker Road and Steiner Road.

It was reported that two white males were stealing wire from Verizon telephone lines.

Police arrived on scene and a manhunt ensued.

Several troopers on the ground and a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter in the air scoured the area for the two men.

One man — 45-year-old Terry Jay Fisher of Allegheny County — was taken into custody early Monday morning and lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

Around 8:40 a.m., a state police representative told exploreClarion.com that a second man — 41-year-old Glenn Jeffries — had been captured.

Multiple charges, including flight to avoid apprehension, criminal conspiracy, and criminal attempt, are expected to be filed today against both men.

No further details have been released.
