State Police Calls: Missing Gun, Jenks Township Crash, Collision at SCI Forest

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – State Police responded to the following incidents:

Missing Gun in Beaver Township

On January 14, a 60-year-old man reported to Clarion-based State Police that he lost a firearm in the Beaver Township area sometime between November 14, 2017, and January 14, 2018.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact PSP Clarion at 814-226-1710.

Jenks Township Crash

Marienville-based State Police responded to a traffic accident on State Route 66 at its intersection with State Route 899 in Jenks Township, Forest County, around 1:42 p.m. on January 30.

The crash occurred as an unidentified driver swerved to the right off the roadway, attempting to avoid a collision with another vehicle which was turning left onto State Route 899. The vehicle left the roadway striking multiple road signs.

The vehicle sustained minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Crash at SCI Forest

According to Marienville-based State Police, around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 46-year-old Bryan T. Beggs, of Seneca, was attempting to back up his 2013 Chevrolet Silverado when his foot slipped off of the brake pedal causing it to strike the range shed at SCI Forest.

Beggs was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash.

The vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.
