Clarion Man to Be Sentenced in Domestic Assault

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – A Clarion man who recently pleaded guilty to an assault of a woman during a domestic dispute will be sentenced next week.

According to court documents, 26-year-old Donnie Avery Goode will be sentenced by President Judge James G. Arner at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7.

On January 3, Goode pleaded guilty to one count of simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor.

A summary charge of harassment was dismissed.

Case details:

According to a criminal complaint, around 4:37 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, State Trooper Knight was dispatched to a residence on North First Avenue in Clarion for a report of an assault and an active domestic dispute.

The female victim reported that she and Goode engaged in a verbal altercation which escalated into a physical altercation.

During the physical altercation, Goode pulled the victim’s hair, punched her in the right elbow, scratched her on the left arm and right shoulder area, choked her around the neck and chest area, and pushed her, the complaint states.
