State Police Warn of ‘Dangerous Dog’ Roaming Knox Area

KNOX, Pa. (EYT) — State Police in Clarion issued a report warning the public of a “dangerous dog” roaming the Knox area following an incident Saturday morning in which the canine bit a local man.

Tpr. Shapiro said the incident occurred around 8:45 a.m. after a 40-year-old Best Avenue man put his dogs outside on their leashes.

Moments later, the man heard his dogs barking and yelping. The man discovered another dog in his backyard fighting with his dogs. While the man was attempting to break up a fight, the dog bit his right hand and fled in an unknown direction.

Clarion-based State Police scoured the area for the dog; however, they were unable to locate it.

The dog is described as tan or cream colored with a “smaller frame.”

The dog’s breed is not known.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Clarion at 814-226-1710.
