RICHLAND TWP., Clarion Co. (EYT) — One person was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Interstate 80 in Richland Township, Clarion County.

Clarion-based State Police said Greg Kalikas, 61, of Canton, OH, was traveling west in the left lane on Interstate 80 around 3:06 p.m. when the accident occurred.

At the same time, Alfonzo Taylor, 41, of Dayton, OH, was traveling west in the right lane in a 2015 L1500.

Kalikas began to change lanes, and as he did so, the rear of his 2016 Land Rover Range Rover began to slide south.

Kalikas lost control of the vehicle and it struck the guide rail.

His vehicle then traveled south and was struck on the driver’s side rear by the front of Taylor’s vehicle.

Kalikas’ vehicle then traveled southwest into the eastbound lanes where it came to a final rest. Taylor’s vehicle came to a rest near the exit 45 off-ramp.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Kalikas was transported to Grove City Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

Taylor was not injured in the crash.

Emlenton EMS assisted at the scene.
