Douglas Leaving County HR Director Position; Commissioners Discussing Options

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion County Human Relations Director Trish Douglas will leave her job on Wednesday after serving Clarion County for five and half years to accept a labor relations position at the Heinz Campus VA Center on Route 28.

“I’ve enjoyed my time here and wish the county and all of the employees here the best,” Douglas said.

Douglas came to the Clarion County HR position after retiring from the U.S. Air Force.

“I’m excited to work for the VA, that’s what I always wanted to do.”

Commissioners are still discussing with attorneys on how to best service HR.  Douglas gave the county a three-week notice.

“We have discussed it with the attorneys right now about how we should go about it and what we should do,” said Clarion County Commissioner Ted Tharan. “Eileen Gruver in that office will be taking the day to day stuff and attorneys will advise on how to go with other issues.”
