OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — A gun-wieldng Oil City teen is facing a number of felony charges after police said they confronted him at a Plum Street residence early Sunday morning.

Brandon Michael Bundy, 18, was arraigned Sunday on the following charges in front of District Judge Matt Kirtland:

– Conspiracy — Criminal Trespass-Break Into Structure, Felony 2
– Criminal Trespass-Break Into Structure, Felony 2
– Escape, Felony 3
– Corruption of Minors, Misdemeanor 1 (2 counts)
– Purchase, Etc Alcoholic Beverage By A Minor, Summary

According to the criminal complaint filed by Oil City Police Patrolman Karns, at 5:33 a.m., Sunday, February 18, police officers received a report that individuals had broken into a residence on Plum Street.

When officers arrived, a person was seen looking out of a window near the right front corner of the house. Patrolman Karns could hear a back door opening and a man, later identified as Bundy, left the house and ran from officers. Patrolman Karns ordered Bundy to stop several times and that he was under arrest, but Bundy allegedly continued to run.

When the chase reached Colbert Avenue, Patrolman Karns saw Bundy produce what he believed was a black handgun.

Officer Karns backed off and began tracking Bundy through the snow. A short time later, Patrolman Byham saw Bundy running near the Wye Bridge. Patrolman Karns radioed Byham and told to stop pursuing Bundy because he believed Bundy had a gun and because he was concerned someone could fall off of the bridge.

Patrolman Karns then spoke with a person identified as T.G., and he said that earlier in the night, Bundy had consumed alcohol and allowed other juveniles to drink alcohol. T.G. said Bundy entered the Plum Street residence and then pulled out a black handgun and walked through the house and make sure nobody was inside. Shortly after, police arrived, and Bundy ran from the house.

Bundy was later apprehended and placed in the Venango County Jail on $65,000.00 cash bail.

He faces a preliminary hearing in Venango County Central Court at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 28.
