Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 66

JENKS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred late Tuesday morning on State Route 66, in Jenks Township, Forest County.

According to police, around 11:17 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 50-year-old David J. Speece, of Oil City, was driving a 2016 Ford Escape, and 81-year-old Floyd Uber, of Sheffield, was driving a 1997 Kenworth truck, north on Route 66 in Jenks Township.

Uber was traveling behind Speece and attempted to pass him. Speece turned left, and his vehicle was impacted by the front of Uber’s vehicle on its left rear.

Speece’s vehicle came to a rest in a parking lot facing south. Uber’s vehicle came to a rest in the parking lot and partially on the road.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and escaped injuries.

Speece was cited for a traffic violation.

Clarion Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.
