LEEPER, Pa. (EYT) – Borland Memorials has a long history in the Leeper community. For the past 20 years, Kurt Rathfon has been a key employee for the business; however, starting in January of 2018, he and his wife Lori became the new owners.

“We’re happy to announce the ownership transition of Borland Memorials, Inc. We are excited to be a part of continuing this business’ history and plan to enhance and grow our granite line and personalized customer service,” said Kurt Rathfon.

“We would like to thank the Clarion University Small Business and Development Center, Clarion Federal Credit Union, Northwest Commission, and the legal office of Attorney Terry Heeter, who helped guide us through the process and provided the funding needed to make our vision a reality,” added Lori Rathfon.

With one of the largest displays in the area, Borland Memorials Inc. will continue to offer a wide variety of colors, shapes, and styles of granite from around the world.

All of the stones are lettered and hand carved at the facility. By providing laser etching options to customers, it gives them the ability to engrave lifelike photos on their memorial.

In addition to granite headstones, Borland Memorials, Inc. will continue to offer many other services such as on-site cemetery lettering and death date cutting, on-site monument cleaning and restoration, granite vases, pet memorials, civic and military memorials, granite benches, cremation burial markers, and foundation repair on old stones.
