State Police Calls: Richland Township Crashes

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Two-Vehicle Crash in Richland Township

Around 3:36 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, an unidentified driver lost control a 2005 Dodge Dakota traveling westbound, in the left lane, on Interstate 80 near mile marker 45 in Richland Township. The vehicle turned into a 2017 Ford F350 traveling in the right lane, hitting the Ford’s left rear driver’s side. The Dodge came to a final rest facing north in the median, while the Ford came to rest on the right lane shoulder of the roadway.

Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven away from the scene.

There were no injuries reported in the crash.

The names of the drivers were not released.

One-Vehicle Crash in Richland Township

Around 4:18 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, A 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe operated by 51-year-old Maria Acevedo of Bangor, Pa., was traveling westbound in the right lane on Interstate 80 in Richland Township. On a straight portion of the westbound lane, Acevedo failed to maintain control, and the vehicle crossed over the left lane of travel, hitting the median and traveling into trees. The vehicle then continued to travel down the left side median. It came to a final rest facing west on the left.

Acevedo was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash.
