Grumley Nets 22 in Final Game but CU Men’s Hoops Falls to California

CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The 2017-2018 Clarion men’s basketball season came to a close on Saturday, as the Golden Eagles fell 94-84 to the California Vulcans.

Senior Cameron Grumley closes a stellar career in a Golden Eagle uniform with a 22-point effort to go along with 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

Freshman Mason Mraz finished a strong rookie campaign dropping 22 points on 9 of 18 shooting in the finale.

Zayver Craft played a strong game on Saturday as well, netted 14 points and grabbing 8 rebounds in 22 minutes of work.

California (Pa.) scored the opening bucket and never trailed in the game, taking an eight-point lead into halftime at 45-37.

Clarion finishes the season 3-25, 0-22 PSAC, while the Vulcans close the season 10-18 and 7-15 PSAC.

The Golden Eagles will return everyone in 2018-2019 with the exception of lone senior Cameron Grumley.
