Frances Edna York

Frances Edna York, 77, of Meadville, died Saturday, March 3, 2018, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Born, March 19, 1940, in Cooperstown, she was the daughter of Kathryn Snyder.

She was a 1959 graduate of Cochranton High School and was a lifelong homemaker. She also was a member of Cochranton Vol. Fire Department Station #4 and loved crocheting, bowling, all types of animals and spending time with family.

Survivors include her children, Joseph York of Meadville, Don York of Conneaut Lake, Elayne Aide (Jerry) of Alabama, and Cheri York of Conneaut Lake. Eleven grandchildren, Jeremy Aubel, David York, Rebecca (Mike) Stainbrook, Bill York, Sean (Sarah) York, Edward Brandenburg, Donald (Sabrina) Brandenburg, Shelly Kline, Richard (Laurelei) Knight, Mayriah Martin and Joshua (Ashley) Rodgers. A sister, Louise Miller of Utah, 21 great-grandchildren and her best friend, Dorothy Brandon.

She was preceded in death by her mother, a brother Dan Hilliard and a grandson, Sam York.
Friends and family will be received at the DICKSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 123 S. Franklin St, Cochranton on Tuesday, March 6, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. when the Rev. David Brumagin will conduct a Celebration of Life Service.

Interment will be in the Cochranton Cemetery.
