James I. “Wimp” Bullers, Jr.

James I. “Wimp” Bullers, Jr., 86, of Mayport, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Penn Highlands Dubois.

James was born December 5, 1931, in Dora to the late James I. Bullers, Sr. and Martha (Kuntz) Bullers.

He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara E. (Richards) Bullers of Mayport.

As a US Army veteran, Wimp proudly served his tour of duty during the Korean War where he was a machine gun operator. After returning from the war, he became a self-employed miner and welder for many years.

He loved going to the beach in Ocean City, Maryland and taking the grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored. When at home he grew many acres of Christmas trees on his farm that he enjoyed caring for and selling. He was also an avid hunter.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by two sons; Mark Bullers and wife Jill of Punxsutawney, Michael Bullers and wife Lisa of Oliveburg, two daughters; Barb Procious and husband Gary of New Bethlehem, Clare Agnello and husband Paul of Rossiter, ten grandchildren; Jason, Ryan, Aaron, Derik, Nikki, Katie, Kelly, Andy, Jimmy and Jordan, and nine great-grandchildren, one brother; Robert Bullers and wife Virginia of Kittanning, and one sister; Lucianne Brocious of Mayport. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant son; Brian, four brothers; Irvin, Walter, Thomas, and Wayne, and one sister; Elsie Kennedy.

Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Zitch officiating. Private interment will follow in Brookville Cemetery.
