Martha M. Horne

Martha M. Horne, 95, of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Oil City and Titusville, passed away March 9, 2018, at the Riveria Palms Rehab Center, in Palmetto, FL, after a period of declining health.

Martha Mae Malcolmson was born on July 1, 1922, in Oil City, to Fred and Twila Malcolmson. Martha married William A. Horne on June 17, 1944, at Oil City Presbyterian Church. Her husband Bill preceded her in death in 1992.

Bill and Martha owned and operated the Arcade Restaurant in Titusville for more than 25 years before they retired to Florida.

In addition to her parents and husband, her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Helyn Malcolmson, preceded Martha in death.

Martha was a graduate of Oil City High School, Class of 1940. During her years in Titusville, Martha was a member of Titusville Presbyterian Church, Acacia Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and a volunteer with the Titusville Hospital Auxiliary. Martha played the piano and passed her love of music onto her children. She was also an excellent card player (bridge and 500) and enjoyed being able to outplay her children and grandchildren.

Martha is survived by her four children, Janet (Dennis) Stuckey, of Oxford, OH, Linda Horne, of Bradenton, FL, Helyn Dahle, of Titusville, and Mark (Tracey) Horne, of Wesley Chapel, FL; three grandchildren: Jeneane Dahle, of Sausalito, CA, David Dahle, of Fort Collins, CO, and Pam Stuckey (Jack) Holt, of Arlington Heights, IL. Martha is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Clair, Jon, and William Holt; and two nephews: Fred and Malcolm Malcolmson.

Martha will be buried next to her husband in the Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL. No funeral or calling hours will be observed.
