Randall N. “Randy” Barton

BARTONrandallRandall N. “Randy” Barton, 61, a resident of N. Front Street, Franklin, died peacefully at 7:30 AM Friday, March 16, 2018, in his home.

Mr. Barton was stricken suddenly with a massive heart attack with his beloved wife and family members by his side.

He was born December 5, 1956, in Franklin; a beloved son of the late: Harry Norman Barton and Geraldine Ann Snyder Sutley.

He was a 1975 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.

Randy drove truck throughout his lifetime.

He enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He especially cherished the moments he was able to spend with his grandson.

Randy married the former Cindy L. McKinley on February 23, 1975, who survives.

In addition to his beloved wife of 43 years, he is survived by a daughter, Stacy Barton and her companion Joe Hoover of Oil City and by two sons: Randall N. Barton, Jr. of Oil City and Michael P. Barton of Franklin and his companion, Amber Culver of Oil City; in addition to his grandson, whom he adored, Michael P. Barton, Jr. He also enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Blue.

Also surviving is his brother, Gary A. Barton and his wife Karen of Franklin; two sisters: Julie A. Beightol and her husband Mark of Cooperstown and Vicki L. Wygant of Rocky Grove and her husband SSgt Patrick Wygant, presently stationed abroad with the U.S. Army in Korea; a step-sister, Charmayne Swarm and her husband Chuck of Athens, TX and by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Paul D. Sutley; his step-mother, Barbara Barton, his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Mark and Myrtle L. McKinley; two sisters-in-law: Linda and Becky McKinley and by his beloved grandparents who helped raise him: Elmer and Mary Snyder and Elmer and Dessie Sutley.

Friends may call Monday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin.

Friends may also call Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Fox Street Church of God, 229 Fox Street, Franklin, where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chad Troup, officiating.
