Oberlander Invites Residents to April 7 Firearms Safety and Rights Seminar

CLARION, Pa. — Rep. Donna Oberlander (R-Clarion/Armstrong/Forest) invites residents who have not yet attended one of her Firearm Safety and Rights Seminars to join her and other guest speakers on Saturday, April 7, at the Clarion Moose Lodge.

The seminar begins at 9:00 a.m.

It is free of charge.

Special guest speakers will be Clarion County District Attorney Mark Aaron and Clarion County Sheriff Rex Munsee.

“An important part of being a responsible gun owner is knowing the facts about our state’s firearms laws, including how and when one can carry a concealed firearm,” Oberlander said.

“We will have applications available for concealed carry permits, and we will also be talking about a wide range of gun laws, including when crossing state lines and where you can take your firearm. I hope residents – either existing gun owners or future owners – will join us.”

The presentations will focus on a wide variety of firearms safety and Second Amendment subjects including:

– How to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon;
– Circumstances under which a permit can be revoked;
– What to do when coming in contact with a member of law enforcement while carrying a concealed weapon; and
– Details surrounding Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine and other valuable information regarding state gun laws.

Concealed carry license applications through the Clarion County Sheriff’s Office will also be available at this event.

Seating is limited and will fill up quickly, so interested individuals should pre-register as soon as possible by calling Oberlander’s Clarion district office at 814-226-9000 or signing up via her website at www.RepOberlander.com.

The Moose Lodge is located at 401 Grand Avenue Extension, Clarion, Pa.
