Police Release Details on Route 68 Crash; East Brady Man Injured

TOBY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An East Brady man was injured in a Sunday morning crash that occurred on State Route 68 in Toby Township, Clarion County.

According to Clarion-based State Police, around 11:06 a.m. on Sunday, March 18, 75-year-old John M. Klemanski, of East Brady, was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox, traveling north on State Route 68 in Toby Township.

Klemanski was negotiating a right-hand curve in the roadway at a high rate of speed when he lost control, causing the vehicle to travel across the opposing lane and off the roadway. The vehicle impacted a mailbox and a bush with its front bumper.

After the initial impact, the vehicle traveled back across the opposing lane of travel and back into the northbound lane. Klemanski was unable to maintain control, and the vehicle traveled east off the roadway, striking a PennDOT sign and a ditch. The vehicle came to a final rest off the roadway facing north.

Southern Clarion County Ambulance Service transported Klemanski to Butler County Emergency Room for suspected minor injuries.

Klemanski was using a seat belt.

He was cited for a traffic violation.

The vehicle was towed by Pollocks Auto Body & Towing.

Rimersburg Volunteer Fire Department and Southern Clarion Regional EMS assisted at the scene.
