State Police Calls: Theft, Assault, Criminal Trespass, Hit-and-Run

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Theft in Clarion Township

On Tuesday, March 20, PSP Clarion received a call reporting theft of prescription slips from a doctor’s office on South 5th Avenue in Clarion Township.

Assault in Shippenville

Around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, PSP Clarion received a report of a domestic dispute at a location on State Route 322 in Shippenville, involving 46-year-old Adam John Smithmyer, of Punxsutawney, and a known 29-year-old female victim from Punxsutawney.

The investigation is ongoing.

Criminal Trespass in Clarion Township

According to police, around 8:25 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 19-year-old Sampson Elias Donahue, of Clarion, allegedly entered and remained in a known business on Robinwood Drive in Clarion Township without the consent of the owner.

Hit-and-Run in Limestone Township

Around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, a one-vehicle hit-and-run crash occurred just north of Forest Drive on State Route 66 in Limestone Township.

According to police, an unidentified vehicle was traveling north on State Route 66. Based on skid marks on the roadway, it appeared the vehicle stopped in the northbound lane of travel and proceeded to do a burnout in the roadway.

The vehicle then traveled onto the northbound shoulder, striking a mailbox on the shoulder, causing it to snap in the middle of the mailbox post and fall over. The vehicle then continued to travel northbound, fleeing the scene. It is unknown if the vehicle sustained any damage.
