MARIENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Students in East Forest Junior High School recently studied the African culture.

East Forest’s 7th- and 8th-grade geography classes completed their study of Africa and created masks from Sub Sahara Africa.
Masks are an important part of religion and ceremony among many tribes in Sub Saharan Africa.
The students were also able to sample African cuisine: an Ethiopian chicken dish, Doro Wat, and Injera bread.
